The farmhouse is a brick home of more than 2,000 square feet.  The Burnetts had it built in 1979.  It consists of two bedrooms, a library/sewing room, two and one-half baths, a dressing room, a laundry room, a formal dining room, a family room which opens onto a patio, a kitchen and dining nook, a utilitarian kitchen for food preparation and preservation, a full-sized basement and a two-car garage.

    It has central heat and air.  For backup it contains a wood furnace ducted into the central heat pipes.  In the basement, there is a room for preserved food and root vegetable storage.  Outside there is a smokehouse for curing meat and a storage building.

    In 1972, a 128' x 84' barn was constructed.  It has been used as a tobacco barn, hay and grain storage, and cattle barn
